Our StaffDavid M. Cunic, PTDavid M. Cunic is the owner and manager of DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation. He is a graduate of the Delbarton School as well as received both his Bachelor's of Health Science and Master's of Physical Therapy from the University of New England. David also is a certified personal trainer, a licensed referee for the United States Soccer Federation as well as a member of numerous physical therapy and community service organizations. David has proceeded to work at inpatient facilities as well as several outpatient orthopedic clinics. Over the course of his career, David has had the honor to work with prestigious doctors from numerous professional and Olympic sport teams which has lead to him being highly trained in sports medicine, orthopedics, and manual therapy. He is continually refining his knowledge and manual skills through workshops and continuing education seminars. David's hard work and dedication in the field of physical therapy enabled him to become a manager of several orthopedic clinics. Although, what makes David truly unique is his ability to relate to his patients, secondary to himself receiving intensive physical therapy for almost four years. Through education, clinic, and personal experience, David has designed his own philosophy of complete therapy. He has taken techniques which integrates the personal training and physical therapy regimen, in order to achieve a complete therapy where “you get the best of both worlds”. Scott VeithScott Veith is the Fitness and Performance Director of DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation. He is a Certified Personal Trainer and Sports Nutritionist with an extensive resume in athletics, coaching, and training throughout the tri-state area. Throughout Scott's career, he has worked with an extensive and varied clientele which has showcased his diversity. He has worked with professional athletes, triathletes, adventure sport competitors as well as Olympic Gold Medalists. Scott also routinely works with former Miss America Pageant Contestants and hundreds of everyday people looking to get back in shape. He has excelled at creating and implementing weight loss programs for the community that in 2005 and 2006 he was awarded the YMCA New Jersey Membership and Program Network Certificate of Excellence. Furthermore, Scott has had the privilege to serve as Strength and Conditioning Coach for high school, college and adult teams in several sports including football, tennis, cycling, basketball, swimming and baseball. With Scott's background in athletics, he is very involved in the community. He currently serves as a fitness consultant to several fire fighters, police officers, and emergency medical technicians. Besides helping the local community departments, he also has a coaching background which includes stints in football and tennis at all levels as well as the 2006 Coach of the Year award from the Freedom Conference while he coached the Fairleigh Dickinson University Men's Tennis Team. Overall, Scott is a complete personal trainer and director who is a great addition to the DMC team. Courtney M. ShannonCourtney M. Shannon is the clinic manager of the Randolph Clinic for DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation. She did her undergraduate schooling at the University of Delaware where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology. She also attended Mercy College where she earned a second Bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sports Science as well as her Master’s in Physical Therapy. Courtney belongs to the American Physical Therapy Association as well as numerous local community service organizations. Courtney’s primary expertise is in outpatient orthopedics, where she has over 8 years of work experience in this type of setting. Throughout her professional career, Courtney has gained significant experience with treating and working with pediatrics. She also continues to improve her manual skills as well as her diagnosing skilled through continuing education seminars. Overall, Courtney is a complete orthopedic physical therapist who is a great addition to the DMC team. |
